You need to protect the very roof that is above your head.

Many of us quickly forget the difficulties that we had securing a mortgage for our current home and what we had to go through to get the money from our lending institution. It was a very tense and anxious time before we finally got the nod after about a month so that they would give us the money so we could purchase our dream home. Now that you have that home, it is important that you take proper care of it and you wouldn’t believe the amount of people who never give any care and attention to the very roof that is over their heads.

This is one part of your property that is frequently overlooked and sort is important that you make sure that you get an insulated roof (called หลังคาฉนวนกันความร้อน in Thai) because if you don’t, then the money that you’re spending to keep up your home will just disappear out through it. As we all know, keep rises and so any heat that is generated by your heating boiler will go directly to the top of your home. If the proper insulation is not in place, then all of that heat will skip and now your boiler has to work twice as hard. If you haven’t had your roof insulation it yet then here are some benefits of doing so.

  • It adds value to your home – Many people will sell their homes when they reach retirement age and so it is important to invest in your nest egg. Any money that you invest in insulating your roof now will be recouped later on when you decide to sell the property.
  • It makes your home more sellable – If a prospective buyer comes around making enquiries about your home and they ask about what insulation that you have done to reduce the utility bills, then you can tell them that you have the roof properly insulated.
  • It reduces your carbon footprint – Many people talk about becoming greener and yet they don’t do the simple things that can help to reduce their carbon footprint and to reduce their costs as well. By properly into letting your roof, your boiler doesn’t have to work as hard and so it is burning less fuel. Less fuel means less harmful pollution and the atmosphere and so this is a win-win for both you and the environment.

If you have not insulated the roof on your property yet, then maybe it’s time that you take some action today.
